The Ethox Centre provides ethics support to a wide range of health professionals and medical researchers with the ethical problems arising in their day-to-day practice, and is involved in the development of innovative forms of ethics support within healthcare organisations and medical research settings. The Ethox Centre plays a leading role in the Genethics Club: a national forum for genetics professionals, including genetic counsellors, doctors, and laboratory staff to present and discuss ethical issues arising in their day-to-day practice and to share models of good practice. The Ethox Centre supports the development of clinical ethics provision in the UK in a number of different ways including the provision of support and training to the members of existing clinical ethics committees and those thinking of establishing them.
