DPhil Student

Calum joined the Ethox Centre as a DPhil candidate in Population Health in October 2021. His research looks at big data, the commercial determinants of health and young people’s health behaviours. His research is supported by a Nuffield Department of Population Health scholarship. He is supervised by Dr Mark Sheehan, Dr Rebecca Brown, and Dr Natalie Savona from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. 

Before joining Ethox, Calum worked as a consultant in the Behavioural and Cultural Insights Unit at the World Health Organization. He earned his MPhil in Health, Medicine and Society from Cambridge University in 2018, and a BA in Philosophy from Bristol University in 2016.
