Arianne Shahvisi is Senior Lecturer in Ethics at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School. She holds a PhD in the philosophy of science from the University of Cambridge, and has broad philosophical interests, including feminist philosophy, bioethics, and the philosophy of language. Arianne is writing a book on the philosophy of social justice, which will be published by Penguin in 2023. Her current academic research is focussed on necropolitics in global health, the social epistemology of abortion, and the limits of autonomy and consent.
