Global Health Bioethics Network Bursary Holder, August 2018 – current

Htet Htet is the clinical research assistant in the Myanmar Oxford Clinical Research Unit (MOCRU) and received her GHBN bursary award in 2018.
Her current research focuses on the ethical considerations around conducting placebo-controlled trials during pregnancy in low- and middle-income countries. With an interest in bioethics and social science, Htet Htet is also involved in social science and qualitative analysis of projects in MOCRU.
As part of her responsibilities as a member of the MOCRU, she has been supporting all MOCRU research activities, from preparing both local and overseas ethics committee submissions, monitoring clinical trials and providing Good Clinical Practice and other study related training to study staff as required.
