Ruchi Baxi joined the clinical teaching team in 2016, supporting the development and delivery of public health clinical courses. For the other half of her time, Ruchi is pursuing a DPhil at the Ethox Centre, studying perspectives on sharing infectious diseases related data and biological samples in low resource settings. Her research is being supervised by Professor Mike Parker, Dr Patricia Kingori and Dr Premila Webster.

Ruchi studied medicine at the University of Nottingham, and completed specialty training in public health medicine in the Oxford region. Prior to joining the department, Ruchi worked in a range of settings through her specialty training - in the NHS, university, as a Health Adviser at the Department for International Development, and as a Specialty Registrar at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. She holds an MSc in Global Health Sciences from Oxford.
