Anna Blech

M.D. candidate, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

September - October 2025

Anna Blech is a visiting medical student at the Ethox Centre from New York City, USA. She is an M.D. candidate at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she has served as student director of the Mount Sinai Human Rights Program, lead teaching senior of the EHHOP Mental Health Clinic, and student director of the Refugee Mental Health Clinic. Her previous work in bioethics has been accepted for publication in The Journal of Clinical Ethics.

Anna will undertake four weeks of research investigating the ethics of precommitment to treatment for patients with episodic mental illnesses under the supervision of Dr. Mark Sheehan.
