The Ethox Centre is an internationally-recognised multidisciplinary bioethics research centre, and a vibrant and intellectually exciting place to work.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Ethics and Infectious Disease to carry out research on ethical issues in infectious disease and pandemics. The research will be conducted within the context of the Oxford-Johns Hopkins Global Infectious Disease Ethics Collaborative (GLIDE) and the Pandemic Sciences Institute.

You will be responsible for carrying out collaborative research with colleagues at the Berman Institute of Bioethics and play a key role in participating in the exchange programme with Johns Hopkins University. You will also be responsible for contributing new research project ideas, managing your own administrative activities and developing new research methodologies, as well as actively participating in public engagement activities of the Ethox Centre.

To be considered, you will hold (or be close to completion of) a PhD/DPhil in bioethics, medical ethics, or other relevant subject, possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline, have the ability to work independently, previous experience of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and willingness to participate in an academic visit at the Berman Institute in Baltimore, US.
