Embedded ethics support in the BDI

Ethics support in the BDI is provided by the ETHOX Centre, which is a multidisciplinary ethics research centre housed on the first floor of the BDI. Ethox specialises in working with scientists to identify and address practical ethical issues arising in their research.

Ethics support can be accessed in the following ways:

  • Support can also be provided through the Big Data Ethics Forum (BDEF), which is a model of embedded ethics support. The BDEF provides a regular opportunity for scientists working in the BDI to 1) discuss practical ethical problems arising in the development and conduct of their research and 2) share models of good practice. Termly  meetings will be advertised in the BDI newsletter and to the BDEF mailing list. To sign up for the mailing list, email admin@ethox.ox.ac.uk  If you would like to present, please contact federica.lucivero@ethox.ox.ac.uk
