Medical Student, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Isabelle Band is a visiting student participating in the Mount Sinai-Ethox student exchange program during February 2025. She is a fourth year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York, currently applying to be a resident physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her undergraduate degree at Harvard University in History of Science and wrote her undergraduate thesis on the history of in vitro fertilization in the Boston area. Isabelle's research focuses on ethical issues in both reproductive endocrinology and infertility and in high-risk pregnancy. She is the co-editor and co-author of the book, Case Studies in the Ethics of Assisted Reproduction.
