Dr Rasita Vinay is a Caroline Miles Scholar at the Ethox Centre, as well as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics and History of Medicine (University of Zurich), and the Core Director for Digital Ethics and Care for Older Adults (University of St. Gallen).

Dr Vinay’s research focuses on dementia care, assistive technologies for the care of older adults, conversational agents, and value sensitive design. Her current research project focuses on developing a voice assistant delivering lifestyle and cognitive interventions to people with early dementia, and is being funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation until February 2029. During her time at Ethox, Dr Vinay will focus on initial explorations on the ethics of conversational agents, validated from pilot studies through a beta-prototype.
