Biography
Adeline's approach is at the intersection of medical sociology, anthropology of health and bioethics. Her research focuses on the social, ethical and legal issues raised by health care practices and biotechnologies, particularly in the fields of genetics and genomics. She has a particular interest in issues relating to the rights, welfare, health and well-being of children.
During her postdoctoral research, she has held a research grant (Principal Investigator) for the Adosoins project funded by the Foundation of France. She has also been involved in research projects funded by the DataSanté programme and the Rare Disease Foundation.
Adeline is currently working in a team with Ruth Horn on a research project to explore the ethical and legal issues raised by the implementation of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) in routine clinical care in different socio-cultural and political contexts (England, France and Germany). As part of the international comparison, she is responsible for the French and English research sites.
