About

Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) hold huge promises for health and care. AI could transform medicine and care by generating new therapeutics, improving diagnosis, making care more accessible, reducing costs and freeing time for healthcare professionals to spend with their patients. Yet, a number of ethical, social, and governance related issues need to be explored and resolved before such promises become reality.

The Oxford Network for Sustainable and Trustworthy AI in Health and Care brings together Oxford University’s expertise in bioethics, governance and regulation, social sciences, medical sciences, science and technology working in the field of AI in health and care. It provides a platform for the exchange of ideas, and development of collaborations with the aim of identifying questions, researching and offering solutions to pertinent issues that relate to the development and deployment of AI in health and care.
