What is your role in the SHARE project?

co-ordinate WP4 which aims to build a Research Community of Practice (RCoP) over the course of the SHARE Project.  An early activity in WP4 will be to carry out a piece of research to establish the exact nature of this RCoP, but essentially it will engage research communities in critical/constructive thinking about environmentally sustainable health research and the tools available to undertake it.  Ongoing activities within WP4 will include community surveying and programming to ensure the RCoP remains relevant to its members and serves to both foster collaboration over the course of the SHARE Project and to maximise the impact of the project’s outputs after the project has completed.

What brought you to SHARE?

Following a degree in Physics and a career in the tech sector I changed course and did a masters in social sciences then worked as the co-ordinator for the SHADE Research hub which sits at the intersection of Sustainability, HealthAI, Digital technologies and the Environment.  I also trained as an RCoP manager.  With a strong interest in environmental issues and in collaborative workingSHARE felt like the ideal next step!

What do you bring to the SHARE project?

I bring the knowledge I’ve gained from activities like writing the SHADE newsletter over the last two and a half years, as well as from working on projects within SHADE such as building the Green Digital Health Tool.  I also bring research community building skills which I am very keen to implement so we make the most of the brilliant and diverse SHARE team’s contributions to the project.

What excites you about this project?

At a personal level I love getting to know all the international collaborators in the project and I am very excited about making the project truly collaborative in its methods.  I am super curious to see how this will work and what it will yield.
