Mirjam Faissner

Mirjam Faissner is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of the History of Medicine and Ethics in Medicine at Charité – University Medicine Berlin. Her research focuses on epistemic and structural injustice in healthcare, feminist bioethics, and intersectionality. She has worked on topics such as discrimination in healthcare, epistemic injustice in the context of AI, and coercion in psychiatry. Currently, Mirjam leads a participatory research project on health practices in trans communities within the Collaborative Research Centre 1665 Sexdiversity at the University of Lübeck. She is also the initiator and coordinator of the scientific network Structural Injustice and Bioethics, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
