Sofia Ahsanuddin

M.D. candidate, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Sofia Ahsanuddin is a visiting medical student at the Ethox Centre from New York City, USA. She is an M.D. candidate at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and will begin her residency in ophthalmology at the Kellogg Eye Center, University of Michigan. Previously, she has completed extensive biomedical research at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and Stanford Byers Eye Institute.

Sofia will undertake four weeks of research investigating the ethics of ocular gene therapy under the supervision of Dr. Angeliki Kerasidou.
