Researcher in Medical Ethics and Humanities

Adeline's approach is at the intersection between medical sociology, social policy and bioethics. She has studied Sociology at School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS, Paris) and is trained in qualitative research methods.

Current project:

Adeline is currently working in a team with Ruth Horn on a research project to explore the social, ethical and legal issues raised by the implementation of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) in routine clinical care in different socio-cultural and political contexts (England, France and Germany). As part of the international comparison, she is responsible for the French and English research sites.

Publications:

Adeline has published on the ethics of prenatal genetics/genomics and the questions of child-adult relationships, children’s participation in health care and the experience of neuromuscular disorders in children and adults in several major journals (such as EJHG, JME, PLOS One, JGC, Ethnologie française, Sciences Sociales et Santé, Genèses, etc.).
