Additional Opportunities for Oxford Medical School Students
Special Study Theme (Year 4)
In the fourth year of their studies, students in the Oxford Medical School have the chance to deepen their learning in a chosen area of the course. Students who select Bioethics as their Special Study Theme (SST) will spend a week here, at the Ethox Centre, attending additional lectures with a variety of speakers. The students will then undertake a project on their chosen area of Bioethics.
Special Study Module (Year 6)
Oxford Medical Students in their final year can select to complete a Special Study Module
(SSM) in Bioethics over a three-week period here, at Ethox. During their visit, students will
have the opportunity to network with the department and fully engage with all seminars and
events, whilst working on their project.
